Duration: July 26 to Oct 15, 2021
Mode: By Zoom
Prerequisite: R package and Python Language
Participating Faculty Members

Curriculum: The participants will be exposed to various areas of bioinformatics research conducted by the Florida International University faculty members and the students. The projects include, but are not limited to:

    • Microbiome analyses
    • Comparative Genomics
  • Protein evolution
  • Protein structure and machine learning
  • Molecular modeling
  • Cancer biomarkers
  • Multiomics data analyses
  • Differential gene expression analysis

In addition, the participants will receive extensive training in professional development. The lectures are planned as follows:

  • How to prepare effective slides and give a compelling presentation?
  • How to review an article?
  • How to write a manuscript?
  • How to make a conference poster?

Project: The participants were divided into teams to work with specific ongoing projects.
Presentation: The program will culminate with all the participants presenting their projects to an open audience.
